Katie McWane Diecker has spent 25 years bringing animation to life- as a producer, voice, music, and casting director. She's currently casting and directing Little Critter by Mercer Mayer, and her recent credits include Gabby's Dollhouse, Doug Unplugs, Trolls: The Beat Goes On, Spirit: Riding Free, and the Annie Award-winning Ghee Happy. Her casting work includes several movies and two different series in the Barbie franchise, Morphle and the Magic Pets, and many other projects across a wide range of styles and audiences.

With a background of Musical Theater, Katie has directed projects like Hello Jack: The Kindness Show and the Backyardigans Live Show at Radio City Music Hall. She began her career in New York City working on shows including Blue's Clues, Dora the Explorer, and Go Diego, Go!, gaining first hand experience in how animated stories are built from the ground up.

Now based in Los Angeles for over 15 years, Katie has continued her work as a voice director on projects including Winx Club, Middle School Moguls, The Jojo and Bobo ShowShow, and Millenial Hunters, one of her favorite projects, starring Chris Parnell. Over the years, she has worked with studios including DreamWorks, AppleTV, Netflix, Nickelodeon, Disney, Mattel, and Amazon, giving her a broad perspective on animation styles, tones, and storytelling approaches.

Having started as a producer, Katie has been part of how a show comes together from start to finish, working closely with showrunners and executives to shape performances that align with each project's vision. Her favorite place, however, is the recording studio, where she created a collaborative space for actors to explore, take risks, play, and discover the most truthful version of a character, all while serving the story together.
