104: Unleash Your Inner Monster

Monsters aren’t under the bed or in the closet. They are in you! And with Andrea’s help, she hopes to uncover the wild monster in each of you. This is an in-person class because you will take your shoes off, crawl around, hiss, bite and bark as she guides you into what it takes to bring non-verbal creatures to life. Prepare to battle! Prepare to go wild! And prepare to unleash your inner monster!

In Andrea's role as the Senior Casting and Voice Director at Blizzard Entertainment, she will share insights into the qualities she seeks when selecting talent for popular games such as Overwatch and World of Warcraft.

Andrea Toyias is the Senior Casting & Voice Director at Blizzard Entertainment where she has enjoyed bringing a wide-range of characters to life in World of WarCraft, Diablo, StarCraft, Hearthstone and most recently, Blizzard's newest exciting title, Overwatch.

Andrea has been involved with video games for over 15 years. Her early years were spent at Vivendi Games where she first developed her love and passion for voice acting as a Dialogue Editor and later as a Recording Engineer. She worked with hundreds of actors on innumerable games of every genre, ranging from the fun and entertaining Spyro to the dark and ominous Chronicles of Riddick. Andrea has since transitioned to Blizzard Entertainment where casting and directing ghouls, goblins and multi-headed demons and space aliens are her specialty.

Her latest work on Overwatch has led her all over the globe as she searches for characters of every background, ethnicity and sound in order to make Blizzard's newest undertaking come to life in new and exciting ways.

Andrea's goal, no matter the character and no matter the project, is to find a truth and believability in every line and in every performance.
