Born in France and raised in the UK, JB Blanc has worked as a performer in almost every area of the business. After training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London he embarked on an extensive theatre career, helping to run a co-op theater company, working in regional theatre, touring the UK and all over the world, culminating in 3 years as part of the company at London’s Royal National Theatre.
JB also has extensive experience in animation. His animation work includes Kung-Fu Panda, All Hail King Julien, Dragons: Race to the Edge, Scooby-Doo, The Jetsons, Turbo Fast!, Beware The Batman, Randy Cunningham, 9th Grade Ninja, The Regular Show, The Black Panther, Avengers: Assemble!, Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and A Cat In Paris.
As a voice actor, JB is highly accomplished with projects in film, animation, video games, anime, and commercials. He has over 160 video game credits, totaling over 300 characters. He has been a voice director on video games such as Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Lego Batman 3, Lego Dimensions, XCOM 2, Mafia III, Overwatch, World of Warcraft: Legion, Hearthstone and Middle earth: Shadow of War.
During this clinic, JB will discuss his approach to acting and directing in games and animation, discussing what directors are looking for, character development and his approach to dialect work.
